The LRA (Lord Resistance Army) movement terrorised Northern Uganda for two decades when, in 2006, it showed an interest in peace negotiations.

Over 30,000 children were kidnapped during those years.

The women portrayed escaped abduction from schools. Some of them lost their husbands, parents or family members. Despite the atrocities they witnessed, they managed to survive and rebuild their lives thanks to the support of the people and communities around them. They now live in Lira (Northern Uganda).
